released 1969?) This album is significant because of the theme of this album. The subtitle of the album is: "Intimacies...spoken and sung by Jackie Gleason." Of all the albums released by Gleason, this was the only one of its kind--where The Great One both speaks and sings the lyrics of each song on the album. The spoken delivery was better than the singing, many admitted. And significantly, Dick Jones--Gleason's producer for all of his albums--produced this album also, which was Gleason's last.
